Cashman's Hardware

What the heck is the story behind the sudden and unexpected closing of this 50 year town institution...?  I'd like to know what events lead up to this and why the town isn't taking action to save one of its few ongoing businesses.  Not to mention it's one of the last old fashioned hardware stores around where you can still buy one screw instead of a plastic bubble pack of twelve, etc...!  What gives Clinton?  -- Jeff Cohen, Madison
