South Side Of Clinton Main Street Focus Of Improvements This Week

Clinton's downtown improvements continue as part of the town's Streetscape Project. According to First Selectman William Fritz, work on the south side of Main Street should be completed by the end of this week. All of the work being done is part of a STEAP Grant the town received to do downtown renovations and improvements.

At a recent Board of Selectman meeting, Fritz shared that business owners around the construction work have been pleased with the construction crew and feel that the crew have communicated well with them during the work.

Crews were out Monday working around the CVS area (see pictures), and we were able to spot the new lampposts as well!

Fritz also stated the town has applied for a grant to complete Phase 2 of the project, which would include Post Office Square, up Commerce Street and Hull Street. Currently, they're still waiting to hear the results.
