I graduated from the Morgan High School and am currently a Senior at the University of Connecticut studying Agriculture and Natural Resources. My studies have taken me to Florence, Italy where I'm focusing on Food, Agriculture, and Sustainability. In my blog I'll be comparing the Italian food systems with those of our own while taking a closer look at what it means to live sustainably and live locally. Besides advocating sustainable practices I have a passion for health education, especially with children. I've done hours of nutrition volunteer work through community outreach programs at the University of Connecticut and have worked with such programs as Girls Inc. and the Boys and Girls Club. I'm a growing foodie that also wants see my community grow. Buon Appetito!
