Jennifer Gross is the Director of Development at the ALS Association Connecticut Chapter (ALSA-CT) in Milford, CT.  With 14 years of nonprofit experience, she will work to enhance ALSA-CT's major donor and planned giving programs, oversee planning for three annual Walks to Defeat ALS and other special events, and coordinate the chapter’s grant writing activities.

Founded in 1988, ALSA-CT delivers a broad range of services at no charge to ALS patients and families throughout the state of Connecticut.  The chapter is funded through donations from individuals, foundations, local businesses and community groups, as well as special events. 

Ms. Gross previously served as Deputy Director at the Eastern Regional Mental Health Board in Norwich, CT, where she secured new grant dollars, sustained relationships with funders, and advocated for quality mental health services and social inclusion for those with psychiatric disabilities. 

Ms. Gross has also worked for the Ocean Community YMCA in Westerly, RI and for Sound Community Services in New London, CT, and has extensive experience in coordinating fundraising and public relations efforts, working with donors and volunteers, and planning special events.  While at Sound Community Services, she created and carried out a comprehensive social marketing campaign designed to fight prejudice in the community towards those with mental illnesses.

Ms. Gross earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree at The College of William and Mary in Virginia and has resided in Ledyard, CT since 1999.
