Students Named To Long-Time Scholarship

The Clinton Chamber Of Commerce Robert DiBona Scholarship Is In Its 15th Year

Clinton students Tiffany Alling, Patrick Bealer, Haley Parent and Jessica Stevens were honored recently as the 2011 recipients of the Clinton Chamber of Commerce Robert DiBona Scholarship - joining the ranks of many previous scholarship winners.

Since 1997, the Clinton Chamber of Commerce has named more than 40 students as receivers of this special scholarship.

"This year we are fortunate to have given out four, $1,000 awards," said Ethelene DiBona, widow of Robert DiBona.

Mrs. DiBona thanked the Unilever company for sponsoring the event, "which was Bob's home for many years," she noted.

Her husband worked at Unilever, known at the time as Pond's, for 25 years. He was born and raised in Quincy, Massachusetts and was an avid Red Sox fan.
