Clinton Organizations Honored For Contributions To Middlesex United Way

Awards ceremony recognized the groups who helped raise $1,925,000 for the Middlesex United Way Campaign

 

The Middlesex United Way held a ceremony earlier this month to recognize the organizations who helped raise $1,925,000 for the 2011-12 Middlesex United Way Campaign, according to a press release.

“The economic environment continues to be a struggle for the average person. And we want to be sure the programs we fund are able to help the people who need it most," the president of the Middlesex United Way board of directors, Gary Simonsen, said in the United Way's release.

According to the United Way, the following Clinton organizations were recognized for their contributions:

  • AAA Allied Group - Honor Roll Award for campaign growth, awards for rates of employee participation and increase in employee participation
  • First Niagara Bank Clinton, Old Saybrook and Westbrook branches - Campaign Achievement Award, Employee Participation Award
  • Stop & Shop Clinton & Old Saybrook stores - Campaign Achievement and Employee Participation Awards
  • First Niagara Bank Clinton, Old Saybrook and Westbrook branches - Employee Participation
  • Godiva Chocolatier, Inc. - Employee Participation
  • Literacy Volunteers Valley Shore - Employee Participation
  • Stop & Shop Clinton & Old Saybrook stores - Employee Participation
  • TJX Companies in Clinton & Old Saybrook - Employee Participation
