270 People Enjoy Ice Cream At First Families Helping Families Event

$1,110 in funds and 450 pounds of food were collected at the June 2 event.

Miner Vincent, president of the non-profit organization that provide food for the needy and funds for energy assistance, said the event raised $1,110 in cash and more than 450 pounds of non-perishable food.

"We had 270 people attend ranging in age from 2 to 91," said Vincent. "Once again the generosity of the people of Clinton was demonstrated as over $1,110 was collected to help re-replenish Families Helping Families' Energy Assistance Program."

The food will be given to The Clinton Food pantry to help keep their shelves stocked. 

As Vincent reiterated, 100% of all monies and food collected go directly to Clinton families facing difficult times.
