Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter

We hold an orientation class for volunteers every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month. We take any age for volunteering, but if they are under 16 they have to have an adult with them. If you like to sign up for the next class it is on Feb 20th at 5:30, just call the Shelter so we can put you on the list, the phone number is 203-315-4125. At the shelter we have resources to help guide the public with names of rescues, low cost spay and neutering, we have a waiting list for both cat and dogs to come into the shelter. We go out into schools, special groups, boy/girl scouts, churches and senior housing. At the shelter right now we have around 10 dogs,over 30 cats, 7 bunnies and 2 ferrets. We are open Monday 9-3, Tuesday 9-5, Wednesday 9-5, Thursday 9-7, Friday 9-5, Saturday 9-5 and Sunday 9-5. We are located at 749 East Main Street Branford, CT 06405.
