The Weather Forecast May Be So-So, But State Parks And Beaches Are Open

Memorial Day weekend is here. Will you be kicking off the unofficial start of summer by heading to the beach?

 

The weather may not be absolutely ideal (see forecast below), but all 23 state park beaches where water quality tests are conducted are open for Memorial Day weekend, according to a press release from the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection. Four shoreline parks and 19 inland lakes and ponds are included in the list.

The weather forecast for Clinton for the weekend:

Saturday: Areas of fog before 10am. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 83. Calm wind becoming southwest between 5 and 8 mph.

Saturday Night: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Patchy fog. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 58. Southwest wind between 3 and 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Sunday: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 73. East wind at 10 mph becoming south. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Sunday Night: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 61. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Memorial Day: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 76. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Monday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 64.
