How long has Sparklers been in business:  I started the business in 2000 in the building that now has the ice cream shop across from Stop & Shop. I moved to this location, at 307 East Main Street, in 2007.

What makes your business unique:   We are the first store in Connecticut authorized to sell fireworks. Prior to that, the State of Connecticut had no retail fireworks stores. We are convenient to the Clinton outlet mall and also have the largest selection of fireworks around. I have been one of the sponsors of the Clinton Rotary Cancer Walk for three years, 2006, 2007 and 2008.

What are some of the rules and regulations to buy fireworks: You must be age 16 years or older to purchase fireworks and must show that proof in a driver's license.  Fountains are one of the safest types of fireworks, but as always, children should not use or play with any type of firework without adult supervision.
