Two Local Teens Participate in World Cup Skiing Competition

Their goal is to make it to the 2014 Winter Olympics

 

Mac Bohonnon and Kiley McKinnon, both 16-year-old Madison residents, are aerialist skiers hoping to make their way to the Olympics, reported the Associated Press.

According to the article, both skiers earned bids to compete in their first international competition--last weekend's World Cup Freestyle Aerial Skiing Competition Lake Placid, N.Y.

"Whether you become an Olympic champion or you don't, you gain so many experiences along the way and you have to make the best of those experiences," said Bohonnon of the World Cup competition.
