Senior Events
The underclassmen never believe it when the seniors tell them how fast the last year of high school flies by. There are only four more weeks of school until the Class of 2011 graduates on June 20th. On Saturday, the student council set up a bake sale at the soccer tournament. The Senior Prom tickets are also being sold until the 27th. They are $70, and word is that if the senior class doesn’t sell 150 tickets, they won’t have enough money to cover all the costs. Senior Skip Day, where all the seniors “take the day off” from school, is coming as soon as well. On Friday of that week is the Senior Picnic. The entire Class of 2011 will spend the day outside on the field enjoying fun activities such as water balloon fights, hoola hooping, kickball, volleyball, and music. What a great way to end the year!

Teacher Of The Year Following Teacher Appreciation Week, students were able to vote for whoever they thought deserved the title of Teacher Of The Year. Whether a specific teacher has made an impact on someone’s life or maybe just because he/she is an awesome teacher, one special person will be bequeathed this honor. The winner will be announced during the Senior Awards Assembly, along with all the seniors who have won awards, on June 9th at 6:00pm in the Gagnon Auditorium.
Help Amnesty International The Amnesty International club at Morgan wants to make this known: Every 90 seconds, somewhere in the world, a woman dies from complications due to childbirth. The caring members of this group along with their advisor, Mrs. Chausse, have asked for people to join them in preventing this problem. Amnesty held a card writing event at their last meeting, but anyone can still write letters to world leaders about maternal health.
