Two Hour Delay for Clinton Schools Wednesday

Road conditions are still a bit tricky, so please everyone be mindful of children at the bus stops. Buses may run a little behind schedule.

A message from the Superintendent of Schools:

Clinton Schools will be open on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 on a 2-hour delay.

While road work has been done throughout town, many roads are still narrow and sight lines are impacted by high banks. We have run all routes today and the town's Department of Public Works (DPW) has widened narrow routes and cleared turnarounds.

At this time there are only two bus stop changes that will be in place for the remainder of the week. On Pratt Road, the bus will only stop at Sunset and Vine and at Harbor Parkway and Pratt. On Martin Drive, the bus will stop at Martin Drive and Nod Road, it will not go down Martin Drive.

Please note that despite the town crew's best effort, road conditions in some parts of town are still tricky. Buses may run a little behind the normal schedule in order to be safe. I want to remind everyone to stand back from the road as buses approach and wait for the bus to stop before approaching. I am also advising that walkers be delivered to school or to the nearest established bus stop to avoid pedestrian traffic in the road.

Thank you all for your patience and understanding. We are looking forward to resuming normal schedules.

Jack Cross, Superintendent
Clinton Public Schools
