Three Joel School Volunteers Honored

These Women Spend Many Hours And Much Energy Volunteering At The School

On March 15, Kari Salutari, Heather Maher and Darcy Sordo were honored by the Connecticut Association of Schools (CAS) for their outstanding contributions of time and energy as volunteers at the Lewin G. Joel Elementary School in Clinton.

Nominated by Co-principals Claudia Norman and Jack Gedney, the three ladies are representatives of the hundreds of parent (and grandparent) volunteers who work in Joel classrooms every day all year long.

"While we have many volunteers who are worthy of this recognition, we believe Kari, Heather and Darcy are excellent choices for this special honor," said Jack Gedney.
