Update: Train Delay, Schools Open

Metro North Cancels 6:55 a.m. Old Saybrook Train To New Haven

It is back to school this morning for Clinton students after a two-day break - one day to celebrate MLK Day and one day in which the schools were closed due to an ice/snow/rain mix.

Metro North railroad announced it is canceling the 6:55am train from Old Saybrook to New Haven.

According to NOAA, the weather forecast this morning is: rain and snow likely before 1pm, then a chance of rain. Cloudy, with a high near 40. West wind between 6 and 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 21. Northwest wind between 8 and 10 mph.
