Badminton Tournament

One of most anticipated events at Morgan is the yearly badminton tournament. As odd as it sounds, this sport is basically the trademark of this high school. Since all grades have gym class at different times of the year, there are three teams from each grade who move onto the finals. Many teachers take their classes down to the gymnasium to watch the tournament, since it is so entertaining to watch! This year’s winners all happened to be seniors. Mollie Simmons and Brandon McDowell won the CoEd category, Paul Hylan and Jake Votto won men’s doubles, and Spenta Mehraban and Melissa Bastian won women’s doubles.

Graduation Balloons

If you are planning on attending the Class of 2011 graduation, why not show your support to a friend or relative with a bouquet of balloons? Students can also purchase these for their friends and classmates. The balloons will be in the school for the graduates to pick up after they receive their diplomas.  You need to fill out a form to order these balloons, so either have your child pick up a form in the main office, or simply search through the May edition of the Morgan School Newsletter to find the information.

New Student Council Members

By this time of the school year, the Student Council is beginning to rally together the new troops for next year. It is a pretty tedious process to become a member of this Morgan organization. Students who wish to have a spot on the Student Council need to go around to their peers and get as many signatures of people in their grade who think they would be a good nomination for S.C. The dedicated members of the Student Council as well as the President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer of each class are responsible for many of their fundraisers and major events, such as Prom.
