Congratulation Morgan Scholars!

These students are tops in their class!

At a recent Board of Education meeting, eight Morgan School students were awarded the distinction of becoming a "Morgan Scholar."

To earn this recognition, a student must be ranked in the top five percent of their class. Juniors and seniors are eligible for the award.

The students, all juniors, include Michelle Beauvais, David Chittenden, Cameron Engle, Paola Peralta, Thanh Phan, Isabella Ragonese, Miranda Richard and Emilie Wilk.

As a special gift, each received a Morgan School sweatshirt with the words "Morgan Scholar" embroidered on it. In addition, their names will be engraved on a plaque displayed in the school's showcase.

Local businesses assist in the funding of the cost of the sweatshirts and plaque.

This year's announcement of the eight students now brings the total to 192 Morgan Scholars since the program's inception in 1990.
