Tuesday, the Connecticut Department of Education released the standardized test scores for every district in the state, and for Clinton, the news is good.
In Clinton, Connecticut Academic Performance Test scores were down from last year, but the scores in general were all above the state averages. The scores on the Connecticut Mastery Test generally improved from the previous year, and also exceeded state averages.
Throughout the state, CAPT scores were up in Connecticut, while CMT scores were down.
The CAPT is given to 10th-grade students. The CMTs are given to students in grades three through eight.
