Sunday Update on Plowing & Clearing in Clinton

The road crews are hoping to have at least one lane open on town roads by tonight at 7pm.

An update and message from Peter Neff, Director of the Clinton Department of Public Works, 11:30am, Sunday, Feb. 10:

Five local contractors are now assisting DPW crews opening up roads in Town. It is our goal to have one lane open on all roads by 7:00pm tonight. We have made significant progress since the end of the storm but there is a lot more work to be done.

The next priority is to get Town government offices prepared to open; this would include the Andrews Memorial Town Hall, the Henry Carter Hull Library, Clinton Social Services and Indian River Recreational Complex administrative offices.  Tonight we will be cleaning up Post Office Square and trucking the snow away to try and let businesses open normally tomorrow morning.

Additional resources are coming on line this afternoon to assist the Town.
