State Considers Bill To Curb Illegal Massage Parlors

With the in Clinton, the state's consideration of a new bill to curb illegal massage parlors hits close to home.

The legislation, the article explains, would also make employing someone without a license to massage a misdemeanor.

And as for dealing with complaints, the lawmakers are considering a requirement that the state Department of Public Health look into complaints within 30 days, the article says. The state can otherwise turn the investigation over to local police, the article added.
