Route 34 Ramps In New Haven To Be Closed Nightly M-F Between 10pm and 5am

This will go on through September of this year.

 

This information was provided by the Connecticut Department of Transportation:

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (DOT) is announcing nighttime closures of the Route 34 Eastbound ramps to I-95 North and I-91 North in New Haven.  The closures are scheduled for Monday through Friday between the hours of 10pm and 5am and are scheduled to continue through September 2012.

The ramp closures are required to facilitate the erection of steel for the new interchange for the I-95 New Haven Harbor Crossing (NHHC) Corridor Improvement Program.

DETOUR INFO: Motorists traveling Route 34 East to I-95 North or I-91 North will be detoured to I-95 South and Exit 45 (Ella Grasso Boulevard), where they will be directed back to I-95 North or I-91 North. Signs will be posted to assist motorists.

All work will occur weather permitting and will be rescheduled if necessary.
