Public Hearing on the Budget this Week

Now's the time for you to voice your opinion on the proposed town budget for 2013-2014.

 

The Board of Finance will hold a public hearing on Wed., April 3 at 7pm in the auditorium at Andrews Memorial Town Hall.

This is an opportunity for the community to come out and ask questions as well as comment on the proposed town and school budgets.

The town budget for fiscal year 2013-2014 (which begins July 1, 2013) is proposed at $15,441,209. This number represents an increase above current spending of approximately $500,000.  The current budget (approved by voters at referendum last year) is $14.94 million.

The proposed school budget is $31,406,501.  The current school operating budget (July 1, 2012 - June 30, 2013) is $30,461,728.
