Parking Ban in Clinton to Begin 6am Friday

Due to the impending storm, the director of the Department of Public Works has issued a parking ban for Friday, Feb. 8.

If the weather forecasts are on track, the impending storm could bring many, many inches of snow to Clinton and the shoreline area.

In anticipation of the storm, Peter Neff, director of the town's Public Works Department, has issued a parking ban which goes into effect Friday, Feb. 8 at 6am.  It will be in effect until further notice, said Neff.

The parking ban means no vehicles of any kind can be parked on Clinton roads.

"This also includes things such as garbage cans which need to be removed from the road," said Neff. "Nothing can be in the way that will obstruct the plowing."

As of Thursday, the town's Transfer Station is slated to be open on its regularly scheduled opening day of Friday.

"It's tentatively open for tomorrow," said Neff.

Look to the Patch for any updates to the transfer station's closing.

For those concerned with previous construction on Nod Road, the road is now completely open.
