Clinton Democrats Seeking Candidates

Do you have an interest in participating in one of the town's appointed or elected boards and commissions? If so, read on.

 

The Clinton Democratic Town Committee is seeking candidates for appointed and elected positions in town.

Elected positions include those on boards such as the Education, Finance, Police Commission, Planning & Zoning, and other boards.

Candidates who are appointed can serve on commissions of varying interest and subjects such as the Shellfish Commission, Water Pollution Control Commission, Housing Authority, Board of Ethics, Tree Committee and many more.

There are seven elected boards and more than 30 appointed commissions, boards and committees in town.

Representatives from the Clinton Democratic Town Committee (DTC) said in a statement that, "registered Democrats are encouraged to give back to their town by volunteering for Democratic vacancies on the various boards and commissions."

The DTC welcomes interested townspeople to a meeting on Wednesday, April 3 in the Rose Room of the Andrews Memorial Town Hall at 6:30pm to discuss what the openings are and the qualifications necessary for election or appointment.
