Barack Obama Wins Connecticut

Voters in Connecticut on Tuesday cast their ballot for Barack Obama, giving him the state's 7 Electoral votes.

Barack Obama won Connecticut’s 7 electoral votes on Tuesday, defeating Republican Mitt Romney.

In the 2008 presidential election, the state voted for the Democratic candidate, and since the 1990s has voted for the overall winner of the presidential race 3 out of 5 times.

Romney and Obama did not campaign aggressively in Connecticut. The state has typically been a Democratic stronghold in recent presidential elections.

The economy was a key issue for many voters in the state, as was health care.

Name me ONE government run program NOT losing money? Now it's healthcare inevitably going to rear it's head for the same. CT is lost to repeat the mistakes of California, who we will be bailing out soon. Taxpayers are those that pay taxes! 9+% unemployment. When CT votes along the Democratic party line they vote to decrease funding to Defense spending, something that CT businesses rely on. So how much sense does that make? We are voting to cut our own throats financially. Carry on boys and girls!

Bottom line is BOTH parties spent millions of dollars on advertising during this campaign. An obscene amount of money, while NY and NJ still suffer and we bailout FEMA AGAIN. Why you ask, because, as Americans, the advertising community knows we are susceptible to commercials and polls and pay absolutely no attention to things like voting records. Now there are exceptions but as a whole Americans are politically stupid, which is why we didn't ask for REAL debates moderated by REAL people who would hold the candidates feet to the fire. Instead we have then doing Jay Leno, The View, and any other talk show they can. We get what we vote for. Now get out of my way Survivor is on!

Jane? How much does a 10 minute segment on the Letterman show or The view cost? Priceless, Jane. So your figures are moot.
