As of Sunday morning 92% of power had been restored in Clinton. There were still just over 400 outages but with several crews still working that number will be drastically reduced by days-end with only single outs remaining.

If your neighbors have power and you don’t, you are a single out. Please call the CL&P hotline at 800-286-2000 and report it. FEMA has set up a disaster center at the Old Saybrook PD on 6 Custom Drive. Hours are Monday through Saturday 8am to 8pm and Sunday 10am to 5pm. It is suggested you call to register with FEMA at 1-800-621-3362 prior to going to the center.

As of 12:00pm today Town Hall will no longer be available for charging until Monday at 9am. After 2pm today showers will be discontinued at Eliot.

On a lighter note for all those ghosts and goblins, Halloween will be rescheduled to this Wednesday the 7. Be safe.

Clinton Schools will be open tomorrow per normal schedule and all Town services are fully operational including Voting on Tuesday at Town Hall for Election Day.

Once again I want to thank our residents for their patience, all the volunteers who worked tirelessly at our shelters and showers, our local businesses for their generosity especially Clinton ShopRite and most important out first responders, Police, Fire and DPW for all of their dedication to our residents. Be safe and Thankful Clinton.

Thank You
