To The Editor:
On Sunday September 8th, The Clinton Police Benevolent Association hosted a benefit pasta dinner for the family of injured Clinton Police officer, Corporal Kyle Strunjo. There are many people I would like to publicly recognize for their respective contributions, which lead to the overall success of the event.
I would like to thank the many businesses and individuals that donated food for this event: Shop Rite, Subway, Palmieri’s, Saldamarco’s, Sal D’s Dockside, Malone’s, The Clinton Fire Department, Clinton Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, as well as Jeff and Paula Heser, Bob and Sandy Voss, and Kim Sellers Parker.
I also want to thank Joe and Dolly Mezzetti and Leah Saunders for their efforts from start to finish in the kitchen in cooking this delicious dinner.
I would also like to thank Todd Steward of Ace Hardware for his generous contribution to this event and the raffle he coordinated donating all proceeds collected to this cause.
I want to thank Wendy McDermott, Pam Capece and Ann Monarca, (from the Clinton PBA) as well as Miner Vincent (Families helping Families), for all their assistance in helping plan this event.
There are also so many individuals from the Clinton community that came out to volunteer at the event. From the initial set up of the room, to the serving of the food, and ultimately the clean up at the end. Unfortunately there are too many people to list by name and I don’t want to run the risk of forgetting anyone. However, I sincerely thank all of you, for all your efforts and volunteering last Sunday afternoon, we couldn’t have done it without you!
In conclusion, I want to thank the people of this community that came out and supported this event. Without your support this event would not have been as successful as it ultimately was. This was once again another fine example of why I’m PROUD to call Clinton my home.
