Police: Shoreline Man Arrested for Child Pornography

An investigation led to the discovery of more than 100 child pornography images on the 24-year-old suspect's home computer, Guilford Police said.

A shoreline man is facing child pornography charges after a police investigation led to the discovery of more than a 100 obscene images on his computer at his trailer in a Guilford mobile home park.

Eric Pierce, 24, was charged April 7 with:

  • first-degree possession of child pornography
  • promoting a minor in obscene performance
  • obscenity
Cyber Tip Leads to Discovery

According to Guilford Police, on Dec. 18 the department received two cyber-tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which contained images of child pornography.

Police began their investigation on Dec. 31, and a search & seizure warrant was then executed at Pierce’s trailer in a Boston Post Road mobile home park.

More Than 100 Images

As a result of the search, several pieces of computer hardware and software were seized for analysis — as well as numerous DVD’s and audio-visual equipment, police said.

Based on an analysis by the State Computer Crimes unit, more than 100 images of suspected child pornography were recovered on Pierce's computer.

Pierce was served with an arrest warrant and taken into custody on Monday, April 7. 

Next Court Date: April 15

Pierce was released on a $50,000 court-set surety bond.

And is scheduled to appear in court next on April 15 in New Haven.
