Masked Suspects Commit Armed Robbery at Clinton Radio Shack

Clinton Police Department is currently investigating an armed robbery that took place last night at Radio Shack. The suspects wore masks, implied they had weapons and tied up the employees with duct tape before fleeing the scene.

Update, 6:45 PM Wednesday, May 15:

The Clinton Police Department stated today at their Board of Police Commissioners meeting that three suspects were involved with Tuesday night's robbery at Radio Shack. They also stated that no customers were in the store at the time of the robbery.

Clinton Police Sergeant John Carbone stated the nature of the Clinton robbery is similar to recent statewide hits at Radio Shacks. Police believe the robbery is related to at least five other robberies that have taken place in Orange, Wallingford, East Haven, Hamden and Trumbull according to NBC News.

Feb. 5: East Haven

Original Story, 12:45 PM, Wednesday, May 15: 

The Clinton Police Department is investigating an armed robbery at the Radio Shack Store at 215 East Main St., Clinton on May 14, around 8:30 PM. 

The suspects, who are still at large, entered the store around 8:30 PM wearing masks and implied they had weapons. The suspects tied employees up with duct tape, and stole over $300 dollars in cash and an undetermined amount of I-Phones. The employees who were tied up were able to free themselves after the suspects had fled the scene.

The suspects fled in a dark color PT Cruiser.
