Injured Clinton Police Officers Continue to Recover after May Accident

Both Corporal Kyle Strunjo and Sargeant Donal Mill continue to recover from injuries sustained during a recent motorcycle accident at the Special Olympics Charity Ride. The accident remains under investigation.

On Sunday, May 19, two Clinton Police officers, Staff Sergeant Don Mill and Corporal Kyle Strunjo, were involved in a motorcycle accident while they were escorting the Special Olympics Charity Ride. Both sustained multiple injuries and were hospitalized after the incident, and now both continue to recover at home.

According to Sgt. Jerry Dunn of the Clinton Police Department, Strunjo sustained the most serious injuries, including multiple bone fractures, along with bruises and abrasions. Strunjo is expected to be out of work for several months.

Mill is also at home recovering. According to Dunn, while Mill did not sustain any broken bones, he did received multiple bruises, abrasions and soft tissue injuries. While there is no definite date set for his return to the line of duty, he will most likely return sometime this summer.

The accident remains under investigation by the State Police.
