Hydrant Alert - A Message From The Clinton Fire Department

It's winter and it has snowed. Can you see the fire hydrant on your street? If you cannot, neither can the CVFD.

A message from the Clinton Volunteer Fire Department:

The fire department needs your assistance in clearing the snow from the town's fire hydrants.

There are more than 300 fire hydrants in Clinton. Many are now covered with snow and hidden from Clinton Firefighters needing them in an emergency.

The snow won't start melting anytime soon and more snow is surely on the way.

Please take a few minutes to clear the snow from the fire hydrants near your home and your work.

"Help protect your family, your property and your livelihood."

The contractor has finished installing the new drainage crossings to handle the storm water on theRead More road surface. We are waiting for the paving contractor to start reclaiming and milling the road in preperation for new asphalt. The catchbasin tops will be installed just prior to repaving when the milling and reclaiming work is completed.
