Fender Bender On Route 81

A Two-Car Accident Caused Delays On A Busy Road On A Friday Afternoon

On one of the busiest roads in Clinton and directly in front of the Morgan School and the Henry Carter Hull Library, a two-vehicle fender bender caused a short traffic delay around 4pm on March 4.

According to the Clinton Police, no one was hurt in the accident on Route 81. The fire rescue truck was present as a precaution, said police.

"Folks are going too fast and are in too much of a hurry," said Old Lyme resident Kathryn Parks who was in her car with her 81 year old mother, waiting to drive about 500 yards to take the exit onto I-95 to head home. The two had been shopping at Barney's at the Clinton Crossing Outlet Mall.
