Can You Help The Police Identify This Suspect?

The Clinton Police are attempting to identify a suspect from a shoplifting that occurred on Thursday, June 28 at approximately 8:35pm at the Clinton ShopRite.

Witnesses describe the suspect as a Hispanic male, approximately 5'5", with long dark hair in a pony tail with a beard, wearing a flat rim hat, and a checkered button down shirt, jean shorts, and black sneakers.

He took a reusable shopping bag from under his shirt/pants and knelt down next to the baby formula. The suspect then put nine containers in the bag.

He tried to leave through the entrance where he was approached by loss prevention personnel. When confronted, the suspect dropped the bag and ran to his vehicle. He left travelling east bound in a four-door black Honda Civic, with a bent and unreadable license plate.

This subject is continuing to commit similar criminal activity along the shoreline.

 

LARCENY – The Clinton Police are investigating a theft of Kayaks from the public storage rack at the Clinton Town Beach.

The thefts occurred between May 30 and June 4.

Stolen were two red kayaks described as a 12' Necky Manitou and a 14' Wilderness Systems Kayak. Similar cases have occurred in Westbrook and East Hampton.
