Patch's Poll: Has Madonna Gone Too Far?

The 53-year-old pop icon flashes two audiences in a week with some private parts.

It was all over the Internet, the news and the television talk shows.

Madonna flashed her breast at a concert in Istanbul. Then, days later, she decided to partially moon an audience in Rome.

Now, it’s not like Madonna, 53, hasn’t been controversial in the past. She’s tested the limits on what’s acceptable in public performances since her rise to fame over the past 20-something years.

But, there are still some who question the whole two-time flashing bit. The hosts of The View tackled the issue head-on the other day, with commentary that her move was just a desperate plea.

The Daily Mail newspaper in England collected tweets of reactions to Madonna’s wardrobe malfunctions, including one from CNN host Piers Morgan who asked whether it was the “Most embarrassing, cringe-worthy, desperate moment in the history of music?”

Do you think Madonna went too far by first showing off a bare breast on stage and now showing most of her bottom? Take our poll and share your thoughts in the comments.

So Digital - you saw Sarah Palin and YOU saw red! LOL.... Madonna is a has been trying to stay relevant in her fifties while competing with teenagers who are doing the same thing and worse. It's not shocking anymore as this is how low our culture has sunk to. It's not shocking but it is a crying shame!

"The hosts of The View tackled the issue head-on the other day, with commentary that her move was just a desperate plea." The article put them into the equation, so it's game on, digital guppy. Carol asked so I responded. Saw red? Naah, that would mean that Walters, Madonna, Carol, or even a digital minnow are worth getting heated over. Amused? Sure. Angry? Not hardly. I comment often, and I try to illustrate my positions by presenting points of reason and opinion. I also use my real name because I believe it's cowardly to hide behind a digital nom du forum. People know me and they know what I think. If you have to hide behind a fake name, then you likely don't have much confidence in your comments. Guess that's off topic too but "o' well." Climb back into that can of lefty saltiness digital sardine. Your fins are frying out.

I find it offensive that Madonna exposed her breast in Turkey. It was not respectful of their culture and beliefs.

Madonna was the first to really push the "shock value" that has overtaken the entertainment industry, and she has repeatedly pushed the envelope in that department. Am I surprised? No, not in the least. While I really enjoyed some of her earlier music, her antics on stage, simulated sex acts, and now this, just indicate to me that she will continue to push it. Do I want that in my home? Nope. Do I want my children exposed to it? Nope. Hence, Madonna is not in my home, nor will we financially support her by buying her music or going to her concerts. "Entertainment" such as this is what has dropped societal mores and standards, and it is an incredibly sad reflection on us that we support this kind of behavior at all.
