GOP Debate, NFL Football, Todd English

TV tips for Saturday Jan. 7, 2012

Republican Debate, 9 p.m., ABC

My how time flies. It seems like just yesterday the press was taking Michelle Bachmann and Herman Cain seriously, and here we are on the cusp of the New Hampshire primary and both are blown out like candles in the wind.

NFL Football, 8 p.m., NBC

The NFC wild card game, Lions at Saints. I am morally opposed to wild card. You either earn it or you don’t. This is not rec league.

Chef Todd English Presents, 9 p.m., HSN

Is it just me or do Todd English, Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum look frighteningly alike?

Fran - Love it! (I'm not writing about debates anymore - this little ol' TV column got way too intense).

That's funny...over here about 2 miles to the "right" (east) in Clinton, I get the impression that some think that the Clinton Patch is more "guided by the left", rather than the right. Perhaps if we all met at Dunkin' Donuts or the Madison Ice House, we could find some middle ground. ;)

Speaking of the debates .... here's one take on last night's ... http://patch.com/A-pYh6 ... did anyone watch it? Check out our story and let us know what you think. And if anyone knows of someone local who wants to weigh in on the primaries, perhaps in a blog, let me know! I have a Quinnipiac student from Madison, Jordanne Anderson, who hopes to write something for us. She's up in New Hampshire right now on the front lines. Would love to get some other local voices on this well. Eileen, Daria, Robert, let me know if you know of anyone who might be interested.

Pem - While I am very busy at the moment capmaigning, I always am very interested in in hearing opinions, getting our voices heard and waking up people re the big issues of the day. I set up my blog and will be writing in it shortly. Perhaps, today? :-)

That would be great! I know how busy you are, and so appreciate the time you take to comment on Patch. Keep in mind that posts can be short, and can even focus on what it's like to be a candidate campaigning. Looking forward to reading more and best of luck in your campaign!
