Community Spirits Day

Thanks to all of you who came down to the Town Beach yesterday...for Community Spirits Day.  We had the costumed Sailing Masters lead the Halloween parade from Pierson down Waterside.  What a delight to see all those young kids in their costumes..we had ninjas, a box head, Minnie mouse, a very scary shark, a knight, a transformer Fire Truck and an old Morgan Cheerleader!!!  The beach was in the throes of Dog costume parade and silly dog tricks, pumpkin chunkin thanks to Joel and Jessica and Jason and Dylan Walter and a Morgan student came with his AP project catapult!!!  They all worked so well that some got chunked right into the channel!!!  There was all sorts of 'stuff' going on....kids were loving it and of course the playground too!  The PTA prepared s'mores and the Meat Hut was there serving GREAT food!!!After apple dangling and scarecrow races and just before the sunset over our beautiful harbor, the bonfire was lit!!  Just an amazing sight.....all sorts of Clintonians gathered round the fire...the CVFD was there...our Eddie Alberino to keep an eye on the fire...It was all just grand!!  I hope those that came enjoyed it...I hope next year we can have a second annual Halloween parade for Clinton's children!!!  Some things should just happen every year!!!  We live in a fantastic town....!!!!!!
