A "Thanks" for a Successful Toys For Tots Program

"Because of your donations, you were able to make Christmas morning a bit brighter for so many of our not so privileged children in town."

This letter is from Sgt Jeremiah Dunn, Clinton Police Toys for Tots coordinator:

I am writing this letter to thank the citizens, organizations, and businesses from the Town of Clinton, for making this year’s Toys for Tots program a complete success.

There are several people who need to be recognized for their efforts in this endeavor. First I would like to thank the Director of the Clinton Social Services Department, Cheryl Church. Cheryl and her staff worked diligently for many days. First they had to sort the toys by age, gender, and then ultimately separate them for disbursement. Cheryl and her staff are to be lauded for their efforts.

Also, to the usual supporters of this campaign who once again continued to help collect the toys. Tim Ryan of The Driftwood Café, Dr. James Milone, The Morgan Tech Education Class (under the supervision of Mr. John Cole), and Shoreline Health and Fitness.  Again, many thanks for your continued support.

However, the most important “tip of the cap” must go to all the private citizens of the Town of Clinton who generously contributed to this program. We could not succeed without your generosity. Because of your donations, you were able to make Christmas morning a bit brighter for so many of our not so privileged children in town. The continued spirit displayed in this community makes me proud to call Clinton my home!
