New Morgan School

New school.

I'm an upcoming senior at the Morgan high school, and as far as the new school goes, I feel that we are in need of a new school. I reazlie the other points of the opposite side completely, I get people do not need their taxes raised because the economy is poor at the moment, and will be for years to come. But I think the issue is, that most people don't physically go to the school and aren't aware of the condition. Going to this school for four years now, has made me and many other students aware of the condition it is in. I know that the new school does not really pertain to me, but I would rather my little brother not go to that school. Espestace falls from the ceilings in the gym, almost every room leaks, and ceilings, not only in the band hallways, but in many others, are leaning inwards now, most likely due to leakings. In all honestly, the poor condition of the school directly effects how students learn. If we are in a poor enviroment, the learning level can be more difficult. Now, just because I'm 17 years old, does not mean I don't know what i'm talking about. I surely do, and I just want to make my point clear, that we need a new school, desperately. Most of you have not gone to Morgan, and your kids have not gone through the system. When your kids went through, people in the town paid for taxes, that they did not want to pay, but they did so your children got the best education possible. Like I said, i understand the other view point, but the vote was passed the first time, there is so much more trouble now trying to get another vote. My parents don't want to pay extra taxes, but they know what they need to do to get their children a good education, and I would gladly be willing to the same for my kids in the future.
