Co-sponsored by Morgan and the First Selectman’s Task Force on Substance Abuse, REACT (short for Reality Even Affects Clinton Teens) brings together the talents and energy of prior  years’ SADD and Assets in Action members, as well as an entertaining group of capable new faces.  Led by students Lenny Paul and Riley Cronan, the club is planning a school year full of activities that will promote healthy decision making, positive peer- to- peer climate, cooperation amongst student groups and a substance free life-style.

Haunted Hallways was the first community-wide event for the group and was entirely student-driven. For seven weeks the students worked to organize a haunted theme, created roles and skits, designed costumes and makeup, and gathered props and decorations to transform 3 wings of Morgan into a scary, scream-filled adventure.  Attended by over 200 guests, this first REACT event was incredibly successful!  Attendees received a proper Halloween scare by student zombies and scientists, and overall the event raised almost $500 to donate to Clinton Social Services.
