Puccini: The People's Composer

An opera lecture will be held at the Henry Carter Hull Library on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at 4pm. Join Alan Mann, Artistic
Director of Opera Theater of Connecticut
, who will provide a portrait of
Puccini, the man, and Puccini, the masterful musician, and demonstrate
just why Puccini’s operas continue to move and enchant over a century
after their debuts. Whether you have a passing awareness of La Boheme or
Madama Butterfly or are able to belt entire arias in your shower, you
are sure to enjoy this look into a musical genius.
