"Porcupine" author at Land Trust event

Author Michael Tougias will appear at Clinton Land Conservation Trust's Annual Meeting on Mon., Oct. 21 at 7pm to give a slide presentation on his book There's a Porcupine in My Outhouse.  The humorous and inspiring program is suitable for all ages and open to the public (see http://www.clintonlandtrust.org/page.cfm?page=Annual%20Meeting%20Invitation%202013).

Known for writing real-life rescue stories involving the Coast Guard including, The Finest Hours, that is being made into a movie by Disney Motion Pictures,Porcupine is a laugh-aloud story of Tougias' early years in his Vermont cabin. It won "Nature Book of the Year" from the Independent Publishers Association.

Michael J. Tougias is an award-winning author of 20 books with Simon & Schuster including several true survival thrillers: Fatal Forecast, Overboard!, Ten Hours Until Dawn, and The Finest Hours (co-authored).  Tougias has received the American Library Association “Editors Choice.”  He is a much sought after lecturer and lives in Massachusetts.  Visit www.michaeltougias.com  for more information
