Joel School Preschool Typical Peer Progam

PARENTS OF PRESCHOOL AGED CHILDREN

The Joel Special Education Inclusive Preschool is a program designed for preschool students who are between three and six years old who require special education services.  The program is a developmental preschool that includes circle time, art activities, music and stories, etc.  We are looking for typical peers for the 2013-14 school year.  Our goal is to have 50% typical peers and 50% children with special needs.

If your child has strong social skills, strong language skills, separates easily and was born before January 1, 2010, s/he can be entered into the random lottery system.  Being selected for the lottery does not secure a spot in the program.  If your child is picked from the lottery s/he will be scheduled for a classroom observation in March to determine if they display the skills we are looking for.  If you would like your child entered into the lottery, please call 860-664-6505 before February 15, 2013.
