Would You Like To Become A Member Of The Clinton Board Of Education?

If you are a Democrat and reside in the town of Clinton, now is your chance.

Due to the recent resignation of Board of Education (BOE) member Gerald Vece, Jr., there is an opening on the seven-member board.

The town charter states that the Board of Selectmen shall fill, by appointment, a vacancy in any elective town office within 30 days from the time that the office becomes vacant. The said appointment is to be for the unexpired portion of the person's term or until the next regular town election, whichever shall occur first.

In addition, the town charter states that when a person vacating an office shall have been elected as a member of a political party, such vacancy shall be filled by the appointment of a member of the same political party.
