This past week housed two very large, extremely powerful and impacting thunderstorms. Many homes lost power for several days as CL&P scrambled to repair broken lines and exploded transformers from the lighting and heavy winds these storms produced.
Included are various photos that I took before the big storm cell moved through mid-last-week at about 9pm.
It's extremely dangerous to stand out during a storm like this, always take extreme caution when attemping anything of the sort.
These photos show the sheer power mother-nature can dish out in less than a blink of an eye. I wouldn't be surprised if a few of these bolts of lightning caused some of the outages!
