Republicans Announce Caucus Results

35 members chosen last week

The following information is from Phil Sengle, chairman of the Clinton Republican Town Committee:

The Republican Party of Clinton held its town wide Caucus on Thursday, January 12 at the William Stanton Andrews Town Hall.

“The results were very satisfying,” said Sengle.  “Not only was attendance very good at about 100 electors, but we attracted eight new members. This is a sign of a rebuilding and motivated Republican Party.”

The new Town Committee members will serve a two year term from March 2012 until March 2014.

“There is a new openness and atmosphere in the GOP that encourages participation.  The town committee will not be a closed society.  This bodes well for the future of the Republican Party in Clinton and all of its citizens. We even moved our average age down a little,” chuckled Sengle.
