Photos: Once in a Blue Moon

However you view this rare occurrence, please be sure to snap a photo and share it with readers here.

The Associated Press has reported that a private service for Neil Armstrong – the late, great astronaut – will ironically be held on the same day as a rare “blue moon” occurrence, Friday, August 31.

Time Magazine says tonight’s occurance has not happened since March 2010 and will not happen again until July 2015.
