Swoosh For Change Happening this Thursday

The Kowalski family of Newtown, who lost their son Chase in the shooting at Sandy Hook, will be attending the event at The Morgan School.

 

Becky and Stephen Kowalski, who lost their son Chase in the Dec. 14 tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School, will come to Clinton March 14 for a special fundraiser, according to Swoosh for Change's coordinator PaulMichael Mullally.

The Swoosh for Change event will take place on Thursday, March 14 at The Morgan School, with the doors opening at 6:30pm.

Pre-game events begin at 6:45pm and the game starts at 7:00pm.

The night features a mix of teachers and staff competing against the students all in good fun.

Also appearing is the Morgan students’ band, Summer Came Slowly. Tee-shirts and other Swoosh for Change merchandise will be sold along with food and beverages.

Tickets are $5 and can be ordered ahead of time or purchased at the door. There will be free give-aways, courtesy of Partners in Community.

Fifty-percent of the profits from the event will be given to benefit those affected by the Sandy Hook tragedy and the remaining half will benefit the Morgan Class of 2014.
