Look For The Special Planters Along Route One

The Clinton Historical Society And Arbor Garden Club Create Planters To Mark Antique Properties

A message from the Clinton Historical Society:

The and the Arbor Garden Club have collaborated on a project to call attention to historic properties in Clinton by placing identical containers planted with an array of matching perennials in front of each participating home or business along Route 1.

Although the project is starting small this year by inviting only nine properties to participate in the program, the hope is that in future years each historic property on Main Street will have one of these planters placed on the doorstep each summer.

Among the businesses that are proudly displaying the planters this year: , , , and .  Others are placed in front of private homes, at the doorstep of , and in front of the .
