Flu Clinic October 18 for Killingworth Families

Don't forget to register online to get your flu shot before flu season rolls around.

It’s that time of year again! Time to get your flu shot.

The Chatham Health District is sponsoring an Influenza Vaccination Clinic for Killingworth children and their families on Thursday, Oct. 18 from 2pm to 6pm at the Regional School District #17 Central Office on 57 Little City Road.  (This is the administrative office, not the school.)

Please note that Haddam belongs to the Chatham Health District, not Killingworth, but they are “extending an invite” to Killingworth students and their families to receive the flu shot, said Linda Kauffman, RN, of the Region 17 School District.

You must register first, online, and have with you at the clinic a completed printed copy of the consent form (which is available online) and your insurance card or a copy of your insurance card.

Any family not covered by insurance should still plan on attending, said Kauffman. The fee will be waived by Middlesex Hospital.

There is no co-pay for those who have insurance.

Please register each person online at www.chathamhealth.org. If you have any questions, call the Chatham Health District at 860-365-0884 or Linda Kauffman at 860-345-4584.

On another note, there will be a seasonal flu clinic on Saturday, Nov. 17 at the Haddam-Killingworth Middle School (during the Holiday Craft Fair). This flu clinic is open to everyone, not just Killingworth students and their families.
