Five Great Deals

Unlimited Sushi; Christmas Tree Easter; The Cake Lady, Yankee Peddler and Pawn; EOS.

We're all watching our family budgets these days. Whether shopping with coupons or looking for two-for-one deals, we're taking advantage of all sorts of offers and savings that help us stretch our dollars.

This column gives you five great local deals each week to help your family’s bottom line. Do you know any great deals this week that we missed? Add them in the comments!

1. Unlimited Sushi

Deal: Unlimited Sushi at MGM Grand's Shrine Nightclub.  Every Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6-8pm is $20.  Always wanted to try some eel or octopus? Here's your chance.  You can always go back to the California roll. Also features $3 Kirin & $8 Ketel One Martini's.

2. Christmas Tree Shops - Easter

Deal: Sign-up on their email list and receive a coupon for $10 off a $50 purchase. Perfect just as I am just finishing up my pink Hershey kisses.  Anyway, you know you need the new spring table cloth($6.99), and the 3 tiered cupcake holder($12.99) and the pastel drying mats($3.99).  In our house the Easter bunny brings beach buckets (hold the fake grass because I'm still finding pine needles) with new beach towels, chalk, books, bubbles, toys and kites!  Hop to it!  Christmas Tree Shops have you covered.

3. The Cake Lady

Deal: Walk-in and ask for a puppy and get one---edible that is.  While you are there it will be hard to resist the wide assortment of cupcakes 6 for $10--especially the red velvet. You will also get a glimpse of their custom cake work.  Maybe order some custom cake for all the spring events coming up while your eating a yummy sandwich?

4. Yankee Peddler and Pawn

Deal: Have you ever shopped at a Pawn Shop?  There are some good deals.  I have pick up Ipods for usually half-off list price and they are loaded with songs. I have purchased binoculars for $20 because they were for my kid and I didn't want to make a big investment.  I also picked up a Leatherman with the case for $15. DVD's are 4 for 10.  Power tools to jewelery.  You never know what kind of treasure you will find.

5. EOS

Deal: Evolution of smooth (EOS) is having a hand lotion give away.  Head over to Facebook and like them and you will be entered in the giveaway.  They are giving away 5,000 full-size hand lotions in mint or cucumber every Monday.  If you don't win you are automatically entered into next week's contest. I haven't tried the lotion but our family LOVES the lip balm and hair products.  I'm really falling in love with this line because it has something for the whole family.

We are waiting for the paving contractor to start reclaiming and milling the road in preperation for new asphalt.
